Students who choose F.W. Springstead High School do so in order to challenge themselves academically, to be part of our dynamic campus culture and to prepare for a full and satisfying life beyond graduation. We are rich in history here and enjoy a strong alumni group that are still active in their alma mater. We have several teachers on our campus that graduated from Springstead High School!
As the only IB World School in Hernando County, Springstead is consistently ranked as one of America’s Best High Schools by national magazines such as Newsweek and US News & World Report. School pride runs deep in Eagle Country! In the classroom, in the community, on the field of play or the performance stage, our students earn high honors and distinction.
School highlights to name just a few:
• Student athletes averaged an impressive 3.1 GPA.
• The class of 2020 earned over four million dollars in scholarships.
• Thirty students chose to serve in the armed forces following graduation.
• Our Advanced Placement scores are consistently above the state and national averages.
