Safety is one of our top priorities. We have secure campus entry points, regular emergency drills and guardians trained in emergency response. Our visitor management system ensures that all guests are signed in and monitored.
Our school day typically begins at 7:20 a.m. and ends at 2:10 p.m. On early release days, school hours are 7:40am with dismissal at 11:10a.m.
Registration can be done in person at the school office.

Classrooms are also equipped with audio enhancement systems to ensure every student can hear clearly, improving focus and accessibility. Students who choose F.W. Springstead High School do so in order to challenge themselves academically, to be part of our dynamic campus culture and to prepare for a full and satisfying life beyond graduation. We are rich in history here and enjoy a strong alumni group that are still active in their alma mater.

As the only IB World School in Hernando County, Springstead is consistently ranked as one of America’s Best High Schools by national magazines such as Newsweek and US News & World Report.
